Spent some time making arts for my fic today and thought I'd post a triple play of one of the ones I'd made, so here ya go. Icon, banner, wallpaper. Enjoy. And yes I was listening to a lot of Goo Goo Dolls today.
 

Is the worst fanfic I have ever had the displeasure of starting. It glorifies rape myths, turns Lana and Chloe without any regard into characterization into two girls obsessed with having sex with Kara, has Kara desiring an incestuous relationship with Clark with no explanation (whether it's custom or feelings changed or whatever), has a gang rape of Kara by Chloe and Lana and has her raped by the Jor-El AI.

This could be fine, one supposes, if it's well done. I've read TC or Luthorcest that's disturbing but well written. However, the characters are blatantly out of character, the lines of dialogue are cliched and blur together so you can't tell who is speaking them, the descriptions are cliches, and the grammar is on par with fanfiction.net.

I don't know who recced that fic for The Ledger but they must never have read it or aren't doing their jobs. It's the worst fanfic I've skimmed in months and there's tons of great SV fic out there. I mean, if you don't want to rec het, fine. Or if you thought the fic was interesting because it was an unusual pairing, I can see that, but the fact that it reads like a masturbatory fantasy with characters who are only "Lana," "Kara", "Chloe" and "Jor-El" in name is shameful. There are tons of good stories out there to be recced on something like this garbage, which hasn't been commented on ONCE in smallville comm or in the smallville fan fiction comm, is simply not in accordance with the standards I've come to expect from The Ledger.

I think it should be taken down.

I haven't written in the Jason Verse in months but since it ties so close to the DC movie verse and I just saw The Dark Knight, I had to play a little.

By the way, it has huge spoilers for TDK, so don't read. Second, it sort of retcons the Verse's timeline but that's Nolan's fault and not mine. I got Jossed!

I am officially ON VACATION PEOPLE.

Vacation.

I have not had an actual week's vacation from Dove since...well, ever!

But don't worry. I have plenty to keep me busy. I'm starting on Chris...uh, holiday presents. *hides from katelennon.* And I have reading to do, and Lea's going to come over and bring the kidlets to swim, and then Thursday I'm going to visit tim_80 which I'm really excited about, and THEN, Friday, I will be in the theaters seeing I Want to Believe.

In other news, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog is made of awesome.  Act III goes live today and I can't wait, they definitely need to release it on DVD after this.  With copious amounts of extras (in other words, lots of NPH and NF).


And in other, other news...I may be slow, but I just saw the trailer for Watchmen.  My god.  I'm geeking out over the effects (coz that's what I do) and the tiny, tiny glimpses of JDM.  Can't wait.
